Antifungals Medication:

Funguses are the microscopic organisms that are found everywhere whether it is soil, air, food or on our skin. Some funguses are harmless but certain funguses can cause infections of skin, mouth, throat, vagina and other vital organs. Fungal infections can be of several types depending on what part of the body they affect. Some of the common fungus that affects the different parts of the body is

  • Cutaneous mycoses: these infections occur in up to epidermis layer of the skin and cause a fungal infection of skin and nails.
  • Subcutaneous mycoses: these include dermis and subcutaneous parts of the skin and are deep-rooted infections.
  • Systemic mycoses due to primary pathogens: These types of fungal infection primarily occur in the lungs and spreads to the other parts of the body.
  • Systemic mycoses due to opportunistic pathogens: these fungal infections occur in the patients with immunodeficiency diseases such as AIDS.

Fungal infections are contagious in nature and therefore require a proper maintenance of hygiene and keeping your skin clean and dry. However, if a person has been affected by a fungal infection then he must start the treatment as early as possible.
